What better way to get your rest and relaxation? Working with clay in a beautiful and relaxed environment, chicken soup for the soul!

Join in with handbuilding workshops and classes for small groups, and individuals 1:1 at the studio in Bishops Cleeve. Come with friends or come and join other solo creators (who often become friends), what a treat.

Also watch out for 6 week handbuilding courses starting soon! Explore different methods of handbuilding alongside decorating techniques with slips, glazes and oxides.

I'm also happy to tailor make workshops for groups to celebrate birthdays or events so you can get creative together. Gift vouchers are also available for that creative treat!

- Small group tuition 4-6 maximum
- All materials, tools and firings.
- Wide choice of finishing techniques ina range of beautiful colours.
- Homemade refreshments.
- Prices vary depending on item size, finishes used and firing costs.
- Generally a 3-4 hour workshop is between £40 - £60 per person and timings are flexible to suit participants. A deposit of half the fee is payable to book a place and the balance can be paid at the workshop.

The studio is located in central Bishops Cleeve and a full address will be given to you when booking. There are no set days or times and sessions are available during the week and at weekends, day time and evening, to accommodate everyone who wants to come. An email mailing list also informs those interested about upcoming workshop types, alongside the website, Facebook and Instagram posts.
Workshops are suitable for complete beginners with no experience or those with some experience. Ample time is allowed for one to one support and the small groups enable individual skill levels to be developed. The photos below all show work by beginners who are justifiably chuffed with their pieces!

A lantern ceiling makes the studio light and airy with French windows opening out into a onto private garden which participants often enjoy for coffee and lunch.

What do I need to bring?

An apron is useful but nothing else!

Can I take my piece home with me the same day?

Pieces need 2 firings to be fully finished, so can’t be taken immediately, but I try to have them ready for collection within 3 weeks.

I can't draw, does it matter?

Absolutely not! Working in Clay is completely different and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve.

Do you offer refunds for cancellations?

Yes a full refund is given if for any reason the workshop is cancelled. If you are unable to come, I am happy to refund if I am able to fill your place.
